Buhari Backs Fulani Herdsmen calls for suspension of State Grazing Law

Buhari met with Security Chiefs and called for suspension of the Anti Open Grazing Law in the States of Benue, Ekiti, and Taraba States of Nigeria.

Presenting his position, the Minister of Defence Ali said the Anti-open Grazing Law being practiced in some States in Nigeria should be suspended. According to the Minister for Defence this is aimed at dowsing tension between the Armed Fulani Herdsmen and Christian Farmers.

The Anti-open Grazing Law is a law that was enacted in some states of the country to checkmate the destruction of lives and properties of farmers by Armed Fulani Herdsmen.

Fulani Herdsmen which is a United States designated Terrorist Group has been responsible for the killing of thousands of Christian Farmers in Nigeria.
