Nigeria: Death Toll in Kaduna Massacre by Fulani Militia Rises to 70

The death toll in last week massacre of residents of Gwaska Village in Birnin Gwari Area of Kaduna State has risen to 60. The attack took place on Saturday May 5, 2018
 The Armed Bandits suspected to be Fulani Militia who are also referred to Fulani Herdsmen invaded the community from neighbouring Zamfara State.

Not long ago Fulani Militia invaded the same Community killing 13 members of a local vigilante which has been accused of extra judicial Killing of Fulani Bandits.
The rising cases of killings prompted the inspector general of police to deploy extra Policemen in order to check cattle rustling.
While reacting to the news of the killing, President Buhari said the killings were meant to cause war in Nigeria.
The Nigerian Army has said it will station a permanent battalion in the area in order to forestall attacks. Early this year 11 soldiers of the Nigerian Army were killed in Birnin Gwari by Fulani Militia.
